I just saw on Twitter author Dayton Ward point out that we're at the 30th anniversary of Ridley Scott's Alien. Who remembers this TV spot from 1979? I was terrorized by it as a little kid, while watching syndicated re-runs of Kolchak: The Night Stalker.

Has it been 30 years?...Gawd, I'm old... But yeah I remember as a kid sitting in the theater and watching a dark blank screen slowly fade up with "the egg" and that howl-y, spooky noise in the background and the words "In Space No One Can Hear You Scream" at the end...
